Wheel hub removal

I'm helping a friend install a new wheel hub on a 2004 Explorer XLT with 4 wheel drive & abs. We removed the three bolts that hold the hub on & the axle nut. The splines on the axle are moving freely but we can't get the hub to come off. Do the hubs have to be pressed out?

I know this is late but it may help others in the future. The hub is probably seized on, the best thing to do is soak it in PB Blaster or JB80 for 5 minutes and the tap around it with a hammer and should free it.

All the times I've done them, beating with a hammer did the trick. When you put the new one be sure to take a grinder lightly to expose clean metal and put anti-seize around it so you don't have that problem again.
