Gentex rearview mirror temp!

where is the best place to put the thermostate sensor. i drive a lot in the mud cuz of work so i am afraid it will damage if i put it to low in the engine compartment. where i have it now it sometimes reads high when i have the engine running & at a stand still.

place the sensor just above the front bumper just behind the grill..

the fan will always be sucking in outside air so you get a more accurate reading..
