Hello,
This is the first time I post a message on automotiveforms.

I'm following this project, very interesting.

I also made this Fujimi BMW M3, I lifted the roof by 2mm and cut it between the B and C-pillar. To make the model more realistic I shortened the trunks at the rear also by 2 mm.
I used some rims from a Tamiya Nissan skyline to match the original.
For the decals I used some aftermarked decals from Studio27.

Looks great so far, I too am doing an M3 using the rubbish Fujimi base kit and understand the effort required. I realised the boot needed to be slightly curved from above but thought the bonnet looked ok, it appears I was wrong! Keep up the good work!

Rubbish base kit? Couldn't agree more! I mean they can omit or made mistakes on details, but how can they produce a car with such obvious mistake?? It's funny though, this is the only plastic kit ever produced! Why won't someone reissue a correct model? I am sure it will be a big hit!:grinno:

:iagree::iagree::iagree:as well as we miss some nice models of the e46's and e92's.
Think the only decent model of the M3 was the dragon/hasegawa/revell e36 serie

I wonder why did Tamiya already issue RC card a long time ago and re-issued last year. It means they have license already but do not make it in scale model:frown:

Mostly regress. :crying::crying::crying: Something wrong happened with my wonderful front hood. It was bent some days later after gluing pieces of PS and finishing its shape. :devil:
I have been compelled to correct it by means of a lighter flame. Its form began look awfully. Then I started to correct the hood by polyester filler.
Also, a work on the rear pillars correction began.

Looking good, sorry to hear about your problems with the bonnet, looking better again now though! I was happy with my version and didn't realise that the bonnet (hood) was badly incorrect until I saw the work that you have done to the bonnet on yours. You have inspired me to going to have a go at improving the bonnet on my version too!

Yes. But not so big progress. I'm working on surfaces around a rear window and а trunk.

Sorry, there is no progress in my projects, because of a free time lack. :disappoin
I will come back soon, but most likely with continuing of BMW Turbo project, because my brother created a CAD model of the seat, and my thought is that this project can be finished quicker than the others.

I've cut the rear shelf to join it to the interior in future and started to work with front end.

For some reason it was cut for 5 pieces.

The line between the front fenders and bumper was inclined forward. But in a real car it inclines backward. To correct it the pieces of plastic were glued to the fenders.

Some additional surgery on the rear end of the roof and on the C-pillar. Still needs to make some little corrections on the A-pillar, but nevertheless overall shape of the roof is close to the original.

The A-pillar is in place and have a correct angle of inclination. The roof was shortened on 2,2 mm.
