Carbon fiber decals question

Hi folks -

I am currently working on a C5-R and trying CF decals for the first time. There are a lot of molded-in rivets on the underside panels and interior where I am going to place decals. My first inclination is to sand these off and replace them with PE after, but given there is probably a 100 of these or more I'm not sure if it is worth the trouble. My question is whether or not the molded in rivets need to be removed at all, and how well the decals will conform to them if I leave them on? I have a limited amount of CF on hand so I'm not keen to experiment.

Thanks.

The decals will conform to the rivets with some decal-softener and a hair dryer. Then you can just paint the rivets with some silver.

Cool, thanks. This will save me some pain. I feared they might be just big enough to cause bubbles.

Just a tip, you can use this gel pen . .it helps you on painting rivets
