Hello,
I have a Sportage 2007, TDI 2.0L. I was driving and the engine stopped running. After going to the dealer, they replaced the diesel pump under warranty.
After a few weeks, It started having problems to start, to the point it would turn off and it would work the second time. They determined a diesel injector was due to replace.
They did replaced the fuel injector, but ever since that now the engine is running at a much lower horse power that it used to. I cannot pass a car in the highway, I cannot climb a hill with 5 people in it. The engine is running 'fine' but it just looks like the engine is not sending the power to the transmission.... they said that becuase 1 injector had been running wrong (burning more diesel) then the catalyst got stucked with burning materials and thus producing less power.... they changed this, but power is will 30% than it used to be...
I just got some intel about an engine recall for these, regarding premature engine damage, have any out there been aware of this?
any ideas?
Thanks,
Weiler
