Wheel Bearing?

I've got a 2003 silverado 1500 2wd 4.3 6 bolt wheels, truck has developed a rather loud hum with a slight vibration which I can feel in the steering wheel and gas pedal. The pitch of the hum changes relative to the speed of the truck when I make a left hand turn which loads the right front spring the hum goes away as soon as the wheel comes back to center the sound returns and gets louder when making a right hand turn can I assume I have a problem with the RF wheel bearing?

lift the front wheels off the ground ..with your palms on the side wall of tire rotate the wheel..if it vibs or you feel a ruffness in the rotation that bearing is bad...

turn steering wheel one way noise goes away this can be either side because it is the inner or outer bearing bad...

when the bearing seals fail water enters..then rust takes over......

Usually......if you turn to the LEFT (loading the right side) and the noise goes away,the problem is the "left" side. Lift wheels off the ground ,grab wheel hard and try to rock it ,if it's loose , could be your problem.Talk to your local shop about it.
