I just bought an 86 325E. The previous owner told me the fuel pumps where bad in it but I was able to make them work by regrounding the fuel pump relay. Problem I have now is the car still won't start and the fuel pumps are not shutting back off after a couple seconds like they should when the key is first turned on. Has anyone else had this problem before? Thanks, Wade

Oh and just incase it makes a difference, the fuel gauge doesn't seem to work either. I only mention that because I've seen it mentioned in several other threads related to the fuel pumps.
