I was told by my mechanic that the bushings on my 1993 GC sway bar where cracked and need replacing. I should be able to do this myself...correct? Is there anything else I should look for since these are cracked? Other bushings that may also need replacing?

Thanks

There is a good chance that the bushings on your end links are worn as well this is hard to see unless removed as the bushings wear out between the end link and the steering knuckle.

Are these difficult to remove and replace and are they expensive?

They are easy to remove and cost $25-$30 for the pair.

I should just replace then as the car has about 140k miles since that is very little expense and I will be getting it aligned afterwards anyhow.

Thanks for reply

When you say end links are they the same as the tie rod ends? Was looking at parts manual and that is the only thing that it looks like it could be.

They are steel rods with bushings that connect your sway bar to the steering knuckle.
