2001 Yukon XL

My 2001 Yukon XL's tranny will go into the "haul" mode without pushing the button on the end of the shift lever.

The button does not always always work either... if I am trying to go into haul mode or if I am trying to get out of it when it goes into the on mode on its' own.

Any guidance here? Thank you!
