325td upgrade

hello,

i know that there is a different section for DIESELS altogether, but no one there pays any attention :mad: so i decided to try here

i got a 93 325td
70k miles on it
wondered what i could do to improve torque and increase hp

heard a couple of suggestions

chiptuning which I honestly prefer to try as a last resort
cold air intake form K&N
short gear shifts
or change the turbine with an 525tds and have a intercooler installed

however I would also like to ask if anybody here has any other suggestions or tips to throw at me
