Alot of parts replaced in my 95 3.8. My Pontiac trans mechanic friend showed me about 4 or 5 upgrades that were known to fail or explode that were upgraded in 98. The forward band was broken at a tab or bracket like attachment area.
Wife wanted to know if new trans detent switch would "wear in" to make putting shift lever in gear easier. ;-)
I was tempted to have him put in DExron 6. My grand pric shifts more firm since I changed to that fluid. Wife would be aggravated of course.
By the way, how tough is it to change the rear valve cover gasket with the motor in the van...(fun--right)...:evillol: KEV
