i haven't really looked at my integra there, but a radiator has a valve (or more like a hole) at the top where if the pressure gets too high, the fluid will just leak out the top. Should be normal. The hole should be near the radiator cap.

What do you mean by pressure gets to high?? And its normal for coolant to leak around the top plastic part on the radiator?

PV=NRT
Volume and temperature are directly related. When the temperature goes up, so do the pressure and the volume. Since the volume is larger and there isn't enough room in the radiator, there is an overflow valve that lets the expanded liquid drip off. Then again, I haven't looked at the integras, but it should be the same for most/all cars.

Ok now it is leaking more coolant than before. It seems like theres a leak near the radiator cap. I've try using that radiator sealant and it doesn't work. HELP PLEASE???

is the car overheating? Like the temperature guage? You must pinpoint the leak. If the leak is coming out from near the cap the radiator sealer ain't gonna do jack. If it is a crack in the plastic ( a small one) you may want to try that shit that is like clay but then turns hard as steel (they sell it at car part stores). If that don't work, get a new radiator or you gonna overheat your engine.

The car doesn't over heat, and the radiator fan doesn't come on?

check the fuse for the fan. Check the level of the radiator fluid. Is it low?

Just checked the fuse earlier and its ok. But the radiator fan does not work still??? And the coolant in the overflow tank is empty? I just filled it up yesturday?

Did you ever find the cause of this problem? I just bought a '99 LS and having the same problem. I just read an article about the Integra aluminum/plastic radiator developing leaks after being power flushed (which normally happens at a dealership during their routine service after accepting a trade-in). I'd like to find out if this is valid, and if so, whether there is any possiblity of having the dealership pay for the damages (it was a Honda dealership - they should know better :) )

94 LS --I just noticed my radiator blowing steam and fluid around the top of the rad settling in the rim. My temp gage does not indicate overheating, I will monitor this situation and report back.

Radiator leaks may be obvious to a the couple of experts here. My guess is some of us are trying to avoid replacing the radiator.
If you have nothing to offer, I suggest finding another thread.

I'm sorry the previous solutions were so far off. The Integra (as most cars) has an overflow tank, where coolant will flow into if the car is overheating. Otherwise it should only be about half full (the "MAX FILL" line). Unfortunately, if your radiator is leaking at all, either from the top or the bottom, you should replace it as soon as possible. You can tell if it has been leaking for a while if there are green crystals around the seals. Even though your thermostat may say your car is not overheating, it is still very possible because the thermostat is near the top of the radiator, and it may not read correctly if there is not a lot of fluid in the radiator. Also, the slow leaks can suddenly turn into a large leak--that means your engine goes and $$$. Radiator replacement is very common on Integras. I had to do it on my 94 Integra last year. Luckily, it's not very expensive. Hope this helps.

if you need a new radiator, this place has great deals, cheap prices, about 1/3 price of oem , and have 1 year, to lifetime warranties. www.1800radiator.com you can pick em up as soon as tomorrow.. they sell for about 100 - 150 depending on make, model, oem-aftermarket, and warranty length. i suggest the extra 30 bucks for lifetime over 1 year warranty just to be safe.

97 LS - I have been experiencing similar problems. First, my car overheated and a buddy of mine looked at it and told me there was no leak, all i needed was a new thermostat- changed it out for like $25 and still suffering the same problem, except much less frequently. I too am seeing my coolant blow off or leak from the top valve near the cap, causing a strong coolant burning smell to come from my car everytime i drive it. Do i need a new radiatior? My LS has 61K on it, seems to me a radiator should last longer.

NEWBIES TAKE NOTE:
All Threads have dates, DO NOT bring old threads back. It is against user guidelines and very annoying for people who have already read and helped at the original time a thread was posted. Please take note of a threads date before replying. If a threads date is more than a month old leave it alone. If you really have something to say on the topic start a new thread about it.
A general rule is if it is not on the first page of threads it is too old to post in.
