hello
I am looking to replace all my front end from control arm, to idler arm, center link, bushings etc. Which one would you prefer quality and performance wise?
I have two:
ENERGY SUSPENSION or powerperformancemotorsports.com or MOOG
They both have a complete kit for front end replacement. price wise they are about the same. so that is why I am not sure which is better. anyone used any of these please comment and recommend.
Thanks
Shyne

Just use a wrench and slide it over the bar around the center away from bends. When you find one that fits, you have found your bar diameter.
Or you could use a tape measure and just eye ball it or use a micrometer for the most accuracy.

ok so i did one measurement of it and i came up with 8cm? does that sound accurate enough to you guys? anyone with CAPRICE having the same diameter? how do I know what kind of end links I have or that wouldnt matter?

I did this measurement just by the control arm where I believe the bushings sit, is that ok? In inches it would be 3.1496063 inches
Is that reasonable?
Now if I were to order a set of bushings from the website can you tell me just quickly which one would be the correct one from the link below?
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1037270&parttype=7624
let it load a few seconds please.
Thanks for the help.

Check your math, it is probably around 7/8" - 1" for a factory sway bar
1" = 25.4mm = 2.54cm

They are all fine. If someone tells you one is great over the others they rely too heavily on marketing for their "information".
There are only like 2 companies making chassis parts like this right now. 2 manufacturers and probably 50 brands. You honestly think the manufacturers are making 50 different versions of each part??? Maybe 3 versions, not 50.
I would also look at RUBBER for front control arm bushings, unless you like squeeks.

How about rubber vs polyurethane? I want to get the good stuff don;t want to go back to it in the future. I want better performance/handling.

poly squeeks that is why I said do rubber.
I never used it but enough friends put it in one car and hated it that I never had to make that mistake for myself.
Look at it this way, the original rubber is 15yo, you replace it with new rubber and it will outlast the car.

Hey
I took a 7/8 wrench but it was a little small, so what is the next size from 7/8 wrench? I believe that one would fit. I took the adjustable wrench and once I got it to fit around fine, I measured it and it came to an almost 3cm, not quite 3cm but just short of 3cm. So does that mean I should get a 1" bushing for the stabilizer bar? let me know thanks
ALSO WHAT SHOULD I GET NOW AS FAR AS BUSHINGS GO BRAND WISE???? MOOG OR ENERGY SUSPENSION? I AM CONFUSED BECAUSE THE MECHANIC I WENT TO TOLD ME TO GET POLYURETHANE ONES? AND THEN I READ IT ON FORUMS WHERE THEY SAY IT SQEEKS, MY CAR WONT BE FOR RACING OR ANYTHING IT WILL BE ONLY FOR DAILY DRIVING PLEASURE USE. PLEASE HELPPPP I HAVE SETUP A CART WITH ALL MOOG BUSHINGS SHOULD I GO WITH IT? OR ENERGY SUSPENSION.
THANKS.

But I mentioned it not quite a 3cm, its a little short of it. Is 1 1/18 the next size in a wrench after 7/8?

The guy who did my coil springs looked and said its factory heavy duty, so I am guessing it is 1" bushing. What do you think?
