Eng light comes on,runs fine

:banghead:The eng light comes on after 15 miles and the oil guage goes down close to the L side ,it runs fine but the light stays on.Help anyone?

My truck is a 92 with a 5.2 eng ,I like it a lot .Great truck ,good price ,but the eng light comes in .

to find out what codes you have turn your ignition key on/off 3xs ending in the on position & note how many times it flashes.

I tried turning the truck on an off 3 times many times ,nothing happened maybe if i put a fish under the hood it might help,u think.it acts strange after I turn it on an off ,like riding a bull,10miles 40miles to 15miles an hr an so on .Kind of like it not getting fuel for a sec.Help?The oil thing is working fine now but the fuel thing just started .I took my wife ,3yr old son camping last weekend pulling a 5th wheel and it started acting up that was a fun ride .where is the fuel fliter on this truck? I had the same problem. I was told there is a fuel filter above the fuel tank. You would have to drop the tank to get to the filter.

did changing the fuel filter workwith your truck?Do you know anything the codes for these trucks? Thinks

I never changed the filter, too expensive. The codes I am gettinfg are for (P0300) multiple cylinder misfires. I never would feel anything, but the light came on and off. sometimes I would go weeks without the light coming on and then it would come and go.
