1992 Silverado 4X4 lift kit question

Hi all I am new to the forum as you can tell. Well I guess ill just get right to it, I currently have a 1992 silverado that I am wanting to lift 2 inches(front and back both 2 inches, not just leveling) I have been looking around and I can get a 2 inch lift kit that consists of 2 add a leafs for the back and new torsion bar keys for the front. Now my question comes into play. I have another pickup that I have been using for a parts pickup, what my plan was is to take out one of those leaf springs off each side and add it to my pickup and then get the ford part #XL3Z5B328CA torsion bar keys and replace my stock ones with those. My quesion now is will this work. I have a couple different issues on my mind of why it may not work. I have read several threads about using the Ford torsion bar keys for leveling the pickup without adding the add a leafs. So what im wondering is if i add the add a leafs and then the Ford torsion bar keys am i going to get still more lift in the back then i will in the front. If so thats not what I want. What im looking for is to get a LEVEL pickup with an even 2 inches of lift all the way around. Is this even possible and can i do it "my way" with out buying a whole lift kit?

I'm no expert, but sounds to me like the Ford keys and the added leafs in the rear will leave you short in the front. The Fords would only allow you to level the truck with the original rear leaf setup. You might need rekeyed torsion bars as well.

I have a 95 k1500 and i added 2 inch blocks in the back cost me $75 and adgested the torsions all the way up in the front this gave me 2 inches of lift and the truck sits lvl. I did this in 2000 and am still driveing the truck daily.

Alright thanks, now my next question is where can i purchase the ford torsion bar keys from? In a previous post I had read that someone said that they could be purchased for roughly $18 each but everywhere online I have looked they are around $60 each. So maybe they have went up a little in price but maybe Im not looking in the right place.
