Please help Town Car

Hello, I know this is for a Town Car, but maybe someone can help me with it anyhow. This is just a paragraph that I posted at Lincolns Online, and nobody has answered. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.


Hi Guys, a while back I posted a thread about my steering column rebuild. Well, its going pretty good, I have disassembled the whole unit, and put the new bearings in. Now as I look in the PDF file that noOc gave me, it really doesn't explain how to position the steering column lock gear, the steering column lock housing bearing, upper bearing retainer clip. I have fiddled with it for a few hours, and I am Leary on how I have it set up. Can some one tell me where to move the yellow plastic rack and then how to put the rest together again? The ignition switch has been removed (obviously) and I can slide the rack freely. Any and all help would be great....
