02 Montana wont let me read codes

Hi All
Today when the wife was on the way to work the check engine light came on ,I plugged in my OBD2 and the screen wouldnt even light up. I checked my reader on my S-I-L explorer and it worked just fine .
Anything I can do to get the codes.

Make sure the liter/body feed fuse is not blown, this powers the scanner.

Thank you very much MAXWEDGE! (Mopars ROCK!)It was a popped fuse that wouldn't power the OBD2. I have a P0440 code which I can most likely figure was the gas cap that the wife said wasn't clicked in all the way. I will buy a locking gas cap.
Yeah! nothing major ,now just to do a tune up, and a few other things like bearing hub,tie rod end.
