Knock Sensor

I'm getting a DTC P0325, would the knock sensor cause my 95 Park Ave to stall on hard accelerations. By the way, where is it located on my 3.8?

The knock sensor is located about half way on the lower block, back side. Are you sure you don't have an EGR problem?

Would an EGR throw throw that code? I have a new ERG in the garage for my wifes 94 Le Sabre. I'll have to check to see if it's the same. I use to work at a Buick dealer and collected a few parts in the 8 years I was there.

A faulty EGR (stuck open) may cause the knock sensor to detect detonation, hence the comment concerning the EGR, rather than the sensor itself. Of course, you could have a vacuum leak, or other problems as well.

I haven't really had time to get to check things out till recently. I replaced all vacuum lines, pulled the EGR and bench tested it. It opens and closes when jumped. I tried to replace the knock sensor but could not get the old one out. Is there a special tool for this? I'm getting very frustrated with this car. It ran like a champ till I parked it about a year and a half ago. I would like to get it running again so I can give it to my nephew. It is to nice of a car to send to the boneyard. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
