does anyone know what else would be causing my car to die at slow speeds. its pretty sporadic, but runs great down the highway. i have replaced the fuel filter, check egr valve, new cat conv. and has been tuned up minus the spark plugs. any knowledge is appreiciated thanks:smile:

Intermittent problems are hard to diagnose, even with a scanner. You could have a problem with the ICM, CKPS, or wiring in between, but hard to tell without a total stall & no restart.

I had one that would die when moving slowly, usually slightly down hill with the foot off the gas. It would die intermittently. I would clean the MAF sensor with MAF sensor spray. It would stop dying for a long time, but would eventually start doing it again. I would then clean it with more MAF sensor spray and it would stop for many months. It is difficult to pinpoint the exact reason. Mine would not result in a code. There was no check engine light. I went through a long list of different checks before someone suggested cleaning the MAF sensor. It could have been about 1 of 10 different things.

Is it all the time or sometimes? Check your mass air flow sensor. Easiest way is to start the car unplug it see if the motor idles differently. If no change then the sensor is bad if it changes then it's functioning. Also check your coils for your spark plugs out.

Ok so thank everyone for their help on this....Ready for the answer! Well the mass air flow sensor was dirty so cleaned it but not the problem...When we hooked it up to the machine it showed 3 codes, only they were OLD CODES! making the computer think the problem still exsisted! so cleared the codes by unplugging the battery then rerunning scanner, runs like a beauty buick beautythat is! Thanks again~
