So i was looking at buying some of these....my lights arent that bright on dim, i mean i can see and all, but when i put them on bright, seems like the light goes farther out left and right instead in front of me....anyhow, i was looking at getting the hid conversion kit for my 03 grand am and was wondering what people on here thought about them and if anybody else had used them?

I havnt used these but have seen GA's with them, and its not always pretty.
The high heat from the HID bulbs can melt your headlight housing and Ive even seen bulbs stuck due to the melting. :(
Though if your DRL are disabled it might not be so sudden melting the housings, but still will down the road.

On your lights not being bright, are your housings foggy on the outside?
It may also just be a alignment issue, or your using standard LL bulbs.

Also you can buy just new headlamp housings on the web, like fleabay, for under $200 a pair!

I like the Sylvainia Silver stars, seem the best & brightest.
I just bought a set of the newest "GOLD" series... and they suck for that extra $$, wasnt worth it IMO!
I'm workin toward ones with clear corner lights, to go with the clear tails I picked up on fleabay.

Hope that helps!

on the light bulb it should say sylvania.. and which model, long life, silver star.
If it doesnt say anything, it could be worn off or some odd off brand, though I dont know of many other than sylvainia for the 99+ grand ams.

You might try adjusting them. But sometimes the adjusters dont work or are broke, but being a 2003 you might get lucky and they'll work.
Need a small torx driver, should be some pics in the Tips & maintenance subforums (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=2148).

Halogen bulbs dim over time. I just bought a pair of regular Silverstar's and found them the cheapest at Walmart. They also had the fog lights to match for cheaper as well. For the heck of it I would buy that plastic polish and clean up the headlight lenses. At night, I pulled the car up to the garage door and tried lining up the headllights but I don't know how far left or right their supposed to be, I just made them even to each other up and down. Doe's anyone know of any tool you can use to set them perfectly?
