Rear Turn Signals Flash Wrong

Ok, I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport with a 4.0L SOHC. Now all of a sudden my rear drivers' turn signal was flashing rapidly and I knew that replacing the bulb would fix that problem, well it didn't. So I bought a new flasher and changed all the bulbs. Still the same problem. As I went through the parts that would cause these problems I replaced including the the bulbs, lamp sockets, flasher, and the multifunction turn signal assem. When I removed the plastic trim from around the steering wheel, I noticed that one wire was hanging out of the wire harness(brown/yellow tracer) and another one that was broken(blue/white tracer). After fixing the wires with a bit of solder and a wedge for the other one, it was flashing at the normal speed and everything is ok-so I thought-. Now when I make a left turn, my right rear passenger blinker will flash and the same for right turns. I checked my connections and everything toned out fine. The wires are in the exactly the same place as they were there before I removed the wiring harness.

My real question is anyone had this problem before? And does anyone have a wiring diagram for the turn signal switch on the steering wheel and the wires leading to the rear taillights? My Haynes manual doesn't seem to have a schematic for that area.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and any help would be awesome.
Thanks,
Marcus
