hello guys.
I have a 2003 SS and up till now it was running like a champ. The problem im having is with the horn/factory alarm. About 2-3 weeks ago the alarm (I assume) starting acting up in the sense that I would activate the alarm and it would honk once to acknowledge...but then it would keep honking. The only way to turn it off was to turn the car on. I found a way around it by just locking the doors from the inside before closing the car and then unlocking the with the key fob. Well fast forward to today and now I turn off the car and lock the doors and the car starts honking, even if i dont lock the doors it will start honking if its not on. they only way to stop it from honking is when its on or if its parked at the house i have to remove the horn relay fuse. Im hoping its only the factory alarm as I plan to replace that with a Viper alarm that I already ordered (one of my mechanic friends said it was the alarm). If its any use the only thing thats been done recently is replaced a dead battery about 2 months ago.
thank for any help any of you guys are willing to offer to help this crazy problem on an otherwise awesome car.

Most strange electrical issues are caused by a failing BCM since it is the BCM which controls most of the electronics on the car including alarm and radio.Mine didnt show any fault codes when checked but I replaced it anyway because i got a great price on it and the problems were eliminated! Hope this helps you
