Just a story... Theres this small back road by me where the road is so strewn, it actually banks at points, and many people are scared to go down it. The speed limit is rightfully 30mph, yet I average about 80mph down it. For a while now I've just shredded that road up but now people are starting to use the road more often. I really think I've scared the crap out of people by barreling past them inches from their car,(the road is narrow). A while has gone by like that and now there are cops all down there and I think they tried to set up a sting on the black civic that knowone can seem to catch in the act. I have that place so mapped out, I can see any sitting cop car before I reach them. Anyway, the other day I was misteriously followed by an unmarked car without plates who made a considerable amount of effort to stay allong with me and not allow people between. When I turned down this now infamous road, he talked into a speaker like a cop and I belted away. He didnt follow, but In a second I was screeching to a hault as I noticed a cop car. I past him at normal speed and procceded. There were more cop cars down the road but none caught me speeding. Am I paranoid, or would cops really do this if people complained?

well, if that was a cop behind him trying to get hiom to speed and be pulled pover by a cop ahead, isnt that like entrapment or something.

That unmarked car kept on the other road leading to the road. I sped away because he left me, but I stayed cautious.

OH, can cops have cars without license plates? Cause that's what the one had, if he was a cop.

here the cops all have "ca exempt" plates

as far as I know you are only required to have plates on your rear bumper.. having them on the front is usually how it goes, but some sports cars don't have a place for that front plate, so that's probably what went down.. the person was either too lazy to put a plate on, it was damaged, and removed/fell off, or it was a cop..

No, it had a black license plate holder on it already. Plus, here in NJ, it is illegal not to have a front plate on.

It can be argued as entrapment. And you're probably not paraniod. It probably was a cop. What kind of car was it? Stay away from those crown victorias...
If people complain enough they will do some evil ass things to get you to stop. I used to go flying down these old backroads that nobody ever took and some old people complained something like every day and kept saying we were going to hit their 'kids' and we got real close, blablabla... which is bullshit because
a) they don't have kids
b) there is no way I'll do over 30 when kids are anywhere near the street I'm on.
c) i know for a fact there are no kids living within 1 mile of where i drove
regardless, the old people wouldn't stop till something was done so they put cones and barrels all over the road, which was such a joke. They'd put them in the middle of the road on sharp turns so people would stay in their lanes but everyone would just go on the wrong side of the barrels. I'd just go through them then toss them in the old peoples front yard. After 3 months and 8 barrel replacements later they finally put up cops for a week and that didn't work, (But they did tag my plates... again and pull me over and search my car TWICE on 'reasonable suspicion' and they caught me once on a 'noise violation' cuz my music was too loud) then they put up speed 'humps' which are really long flat speed bumps. so they didn't slow me down any. it was just more fun to drive the road. so now they have a sheriff set up in a parking lot at LEAST once a week just waiting.
They'll do what they can to stop people when others complain. Takes them forever thanks to 'the system' but they'll usually do something about it. At least around here.

Your ass needs to get ticketed already. Whats the rush? Wanna release the pure RAW POWER of the mighty 4 cyclinders!!!! As the little fart can woooooo woooo and that engine is topping out a mean 7500 rpms as you push it to the limits to crank out those fast and furious 80mph yo. It just irritates me when people like me wanna commute on the road with my kids in the car seat while your fast and the furious ass munch puts our lives at risk as your maxing out that 4 cylinder passing me at an ungodly speed of 80mph which to you is probably about 20 mph away from the top speed of that car. Its just so annoying cant you go max out Your Mickey Mouse beast of a car out on the track away from my family ---yo yo yo . :flipa:

The mighty 4 cylinders have already come up on the slow 6 cylinders of today. Don't get mad cuz your 6 cylinder Legend is losing it's edge. It's not much of car these days family man. You were talking about reving your engine at other cars, is this to impress your children or what? That's sad. As for Drift King, it wasn't a cop. Cops have to follow the rules of driving too. Most unmarked cars have a regular car appearance cuz they don't want to tip you off that they're a cop. They don't have the paint scheme of a regular cop, but their lights and everything are on the inside of the car, and if you're behind them you can see the red and blue lights on the rear deck of the car. The thing is that these cars can be anything. I've seen a maroon Toyota 4Runner pull someone over. It had the lights and everything flashing inside the car. Also, if you check the plates, most cop cars have only numbers as their plates. They don't have letters and numbers like regular cars.

Don't worry, I wouldnt risk anyones life. Now when I see cars, I go back down to normal speed. You have to remember, this is a deserted old road, hardly anyone traverses it.

Amen Drift King. Not everybody has the chance to hit the track and run their car, so the best they can do are the back roads. Most backroads are better to run on anyways.
