I bought a 5902 online and had a fairly reputable installer put it into my 07 CRV. The remote start has an option to hook up the defrosters so that you can turn them on from the remote and/or have them turn on automatically if the temp drops below 55 degrees when you remote start the vehicle. The problem is that he installed it into the aux 1 spot. I'm trying to figure out if it'll still automatically turn on if the temp drops below 55, or if it needs to be hooked into the defroster circuit at the brain box for that to work. The defroster lights on the dash also don't turn on when I turn on the defroster circuit from the remote either. The defroster works, but I have no way to test the temp thing; its gotten a little too warm. It seems to me like it wont work the way its supposed to, but I was just hoping someone could confirm this before I take it back and make him do it right.
