Hi everybody,
I am new here and i have some questions about die-cast car. I own a 1/43 BMW E30, i would like to take off the decals & repaint than apply others decals on it. What should i do? Since this is the first time i do that, i already have some experience on doing plastic (1/24 scale model car). I am not sure the procedure are the same.
- How to remove the original decals?
- How to deassemble de car to repaint?
- Do i need to apply premier & what can of premier?
- What kind of paint should i use?
- After painting and appliying the new decals can i spray transparent on top?
Please help me

Its pretty much the same as plastic. You can use paint stripper on only the metal parts and it will do a great job. Never use it on any plastic parts it will dissolve them. Use 91% alcohol or break fluid.
Paint has to be able to be applied to metal.
Decals can't be just taken off, they come off when you strip the paint.
If you know how to assemble a 1/24 car, disassembling a diecast shouldn't be a problem.
