I have a 97 GT, my air is warm when on, I believe I am out of refrigerant. Is the port on the metal line running from the firewall on the top of the engine? Any help or installation instructions would help so I won't melt this summer.

THanks!

The low side port ( the one used to recharge) is always the small fitting on the large line. The High side is just the opposite, it is the large fitting on the small line. If your using a recharge kit from a parts store that has its own connection it will only fit on the low side fitting.

Also Harbor Freight has the R134a gages for the car.

Correct for low side. High side port is over by the accumulator.

Note: GM per TSB upped the amount of R134a refrigerant to install. The old figure in pounds listed on the data plate is no longer valid. Let us know what the data label reads and we'll give you the updated amount.
