Think it's a pretty sweet ride home today, dude with a BRIGHT orange Challenger revs at me at the light. Light turns green, drop the clutch, starting to pull away a bit, hit 2nd, go to hit 3rd......BLEH car dies. I coast my way into the DD parking lot, try to start the car, runs for about 3 seconds and dies. No throttle response, nothing at all. Turn the key off, try to start again....same deal, car starts, revs to about 1500 before slowly falling to 500 and stalls in about 5 seconds. Had her towed to the shop. Anyone have any ideas?? TPS.....cam sensor....throttle body....fuel filter maybe???

Check fuel pressure at the rail with engine off and idling (as best you can before it quits). If the pressure drops off significantly when engine is running that is the cause of it dying and is either a very clogged fuel filter or a dying fuel pump.

Looks like it turned out to be a bad MAF sensor.

Ouch, that costs quite a bit for a little thing. Make sure you clean the MAF sensor periodically using CRC MAF Cleaner. You just spray the sensor with it and that's it. It will keep it reading accurate and from overheating and snapping from buildup on it.
