power loss

i have a 95 jimmy when it idles its ok but as soon as i push on the fuel pedal it starts to dogout and back fires alittle any help out there

Have you checked/replaced the fuel filter recently? Have you checked fuel pressure? Key on, engine off, fuel pump running, pressure must be 58psi to 64psi. Pressure must remain above 53psi for 3 to 5 minutes after the fuel pump shuts off.
