Porsche 962C "From A" spoiler question

hi

i have the Tamiya Porsche 962C "From A" model, the instuctions states the rear spoiler is a large black decal, im wondering wether to paint it rather than using the decal, so the question is, is the colour a gloss or semi gloss? which means painting X-1 black or X-18 semi gloss black

any help will be greatly appreciated

X-18 looks more matt when sprayed than when it is applied by brush. Personally I would apply the decal. But if the decal application is out of the discussion, I would spray X-18 and apply clear gloss if it looks too matt.
