well i have bought the wrx sti wrc ... and i was pleasently suprised that the kit was sprayed already.. my question is should i spray it again or can i leave it? it is the nice lookin mica blue color way better paint job that nething i will ever do.. so leave it or spray it..

so far i have assembled the whold bottom end of the car... i have also preformed a lowering of the car i have cut and rejoined the coilovers to make it look lower.. i have jus started the interior i have some of the pannels down like the ones for the peadels . i have also started the sats and roll cage.... i am happy that so far this model is comming along with any problems yet... no broken parts and even when i cut the parts the went back together with no problems.. i have also pun on the roof and hood scoop....

sorrie that i have no pic to go along with my progress but i have no digital camera... i hope to borrow one soon from my boy..

so just want to know what to do about the paint

thanks

It's sprayed already?

No it's not, that is the color it is molded in ;)

I have 3 of that kit and all 3 are molded in a blue plastic

If you want to paint your car in a impreza color you must buy TS-50 from tamiya thats THE impreza color!

i taught it was already sprayed blue...
i fell dumb.....

so i guess i cant leave it that color so to go ablut spraying it yellow i should buy some primer (white) and put like 3 coats of primer and do a light sanding then go ahead and spray the yellow paint...

is this the way to go about doing this?

thanks

As long as there aren't any color swirls in the plastic, you can polish it and it will look nice. :) But it will look plastic-y and not like a real car shrunk down, more like a toy car..

i think for now i will keep it the blue plastic look then later get the paint and re spray it yellow!
