Trailer Light Wiring?

I have an '04 Vue and will be adding a trailer hitch to it in the very near future (small trailer only, pulling a motor cycle) and am wondering about getting the wiring done without any headaches.

Just wondering if I'm going to need anything special to get the lights functioning properly. I'd like to have all the things I need before I start the install process so I can just get it all done in one shot without any hang ups.

Suggestions, comments, ideas?

There is a wiring harness that is taped up on the driverside rear, if you take all the covers to your spare tire you should be able to get to it.Its down inside the rear quarter panel, its taped up in a loop on another harness.All the wire colors should be the same on the trailer wire as the wire harness in the car.
