i recently pulled the snout off to replace the rattling coupler, when i took the oil out i had only about 3 or 4 oz. in there which i thought was a little odd, anyways put it all back together, next day theres oil where my car was parked, pop the hood and all the oil had leaked out. Pull everything off again including supercharger, theres oil in the bottom of the throttle body, put the new plenum gasket back on put supercharger back in place with new gasket and fill her up again after pulling the snout off a second time, and shes leaking again. Any ideas why its still leaking, ive used rtv everytime and let it dry but still getting the leak. what now??

I would check the housing for a crack. Also, what type of RTV are you using? You might want to try the high temp stuff since there is a lot of heat in that area and it could be breaking down.

using a copper high temp permatex, i didn't see any cracks on the snout. I seems its obviously coming out of the bottom, but i let the thing sit for 2 days before i put it back on the car so its definatly dry and good to go. when i pulled it apart the inside of the turbine wanted to come out with it, could that have something to do with it, i mean it came out like 3 in. the i pushed it back in and seperated the snout for it, could that possibly have something to do with it?

I don't think that is the issue. I had the same problem when I changed the one on my GTP. When you pull it apart again put the RTV on and put it back together before the RTV dries. The RTV will dry between the surfaces. Letting it dry before you assemble the supercharger may be the problem.

So you didn't mention what kind of car you are working on. I'll assume it is a Grand Prix. Don't know what year though. I just did the same repair procedure on my '98 GTP. I used your basic red RTV and did the repair while the supercharger was still on the engine. My turbine wanted to come out too and I just kept it back. The one thing I can high-light is that you have to make sure the mating surfaces are clean and not scratched up. You put the RTV on and tighten it down good. What I was told by a mechanic was that the RTV occupies space and is difficult to compress. This might cause a bad seal. I wound up putting a small coating of RTV on it and quickly getting the bolts tightened down before the stuff started setting up. The real stuff that GM has is red, in a small tube and cost $30. It supposedly compresses down to a very small layer. Are you torquing to specifications? When you say it is coming out of the bottom, do you mean from under the seal where the snout is attached, or from under the supercharger?

its a 99 gtp, i honestly dont know where exactly its coming from, it seems as if its coming out of the bottom near the backside of the snout, but it didnt come out after i filled everything up and let the car idle for a while, and put it under a load from the throttle body, but after i drove it is when ive seen it happen both times. Im using the orange rtv permatex supposedly highly heat resistant but not rigid like the ultra grey, is that possibly the problem?

So in your first post, you said that when you opened it up there was only about 3-4 ounces of oil in it. Were you regularly topping it off every 30k miles or so prior to that. I'm wondering if, because it was low on oil, the seal to the turbine area is now bad.

truthfully i havent even checked the oil in it in about 2 years, the turbine is making a suttle noise when its running now, not sure if that just started or if it was doin it before, that coupler was really rattleing. So what do you think is the issue with oil leak that being said?

When you tightened the snout back onto the sc body, did you finger tighten all the bolts, then tighten in a crossways pattern? That may be your problem.....
I would just take it back apart, clean the RTV off, check for cracks, and put it back together.
