I'm in the same boat... the measurements in the book make no sense: they are almost 2" more than any height I can measure around the jacking areas.
BTW: I also discovered that the height sensor (the one with the arm) is shot, but a replacement seems to be $360 or so (can't find them at rockauto... what's the part number?). Is it safe to get one of these from a junkyard?

I can give you the info out of a 95 manual. I do know GM made substatial changes to the front suspension beginning in 94 but not sure if they changed the rear, I almost suspect not.
Measuring should seem to be straightforward..but it isn't. GM list 4 different configurations:
Chev cargo vans
Chev cargo vans w/bumper adjustment (???)
Export van
and the world famous" All others"
In addition. they list 2 measurments- Ship ( again???) and Curb
Measurments are taken in 2 places: jacking point to ground, and lower point of frame to top of axle, 20MM inboard of spring.
I would be inclined to think you are looking for Curb and All others,. Dimensions for jacking point is 277 mm or 10.91 inches
rear axle 191 mm 7.52 inches, plus/minus 10mm
Manual says to lift rear bumper 1.5 inches and slowly let down, repeat 2 more time to settle suspension.
Does this make any semse to what you see?
Jeff
