I looked in Chilton's online service manual for these cars and it said to make sure and grease suspension parts. Which ones are they referring to? I don't know where to grease anything! Help would be appreciated. I know how to grease things and what a zerk looks like, I just don't know the locations on this car. http://www.oldsmobileforums.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif

What year? Late model cars do not have grease fittings any more.

Yeah I just remembered that. It's a 1996. So I just look for formerly greased suspension parts and just add some regular tubed grease or do I use some sort of oil or..?

No fittings on that car, all sealed joints.

So in the repair manual I was reading, what was it referring to when it talked about lubrication? Engine oil was a different category..
I appreciate your help.

The generic manual seems not to focus on a specific year in these matters and leaves it to the owner to determine what is required, lube. could mean hood lock, door hinges and stops and various other non suspension components if you look under neath you will not see any lube fittings. Only non-oe parts may have grease fittings.

Thank you. I guess the creaking is just due to worn parts! Oh well, at least no need to grease.
