on how to get over a 3 year relationship. Me and Julie are done and it's the hardest on me. I dont really know where to go from here. I ended other things so I could be w/her but she chose otherwise. This has been a really tough day and I would just like to have some advice....thanks....:(

As much as it sucks, the very best thing you can do is just move on and start seeing other women.

Also, nothing makes you dwell like boredom. Try filling up your day with things to do, be it a job, club, working on the car, hanging with friends, etc...next thing you know you will have forgotten she's gone.

Boingo's right. Do as much as you can, if you get bored you will dwell and get majorly down, believe me, I've been there. I just recently split with my gf (granted only after about 3 months but still) and it's the same, just keep yourself occupied. Work on your friendships with other people, meet new people, etc.

Life will be good again.

Your still young and have plenty of time on your side. As hard as it seems right now, time will heal the pain and you will move on. If it was meant to be it would have worked out.
I bet in a years time or two you will find someone and wonder what the hell you saw in the last person.

But also make sure you are there for your son....don't let just because you can't be with me to reflect your relationship with your son...If it does, oh well...but if it doesn't that is great!
