A trio of Z's

For a while I have been working on a Tamiya's Nissan Z's. So far I have the Z's from the SuperGT series and the Nissan Z track.
The Calsonic model ended up a bit of a painting disaster, but the 'crackle' effect has grown on me. Not that I am going to try to repeat it, but you take your punches as you get them. The crackle was caused by allowing Mr Super Clear Gloss to dry overnight in a cold room, thus shrinking and taking the lacquer with it. The last coat is Mr Super Clear Flat, which does interesting things to clear plastic when cold.
Eventually I want to finish the rest of the Z's, but for now here we stand

It's a pity of the craked paint on the Calsonic one but the others turned out okay!

I think it would be pretty cool to have a paint job like that on a real car....as long as it was intentional...not like some old worn out piece of crap car that needs a paint job. lol
It's amazing how skinny the stock Z looks in comparison to the GT cars.
