G6 Interchangeable Parts

I have a parts question, thought this would be the best place to ask. I just bought a 2006 G6 GT Coupe, and heard that quite a few people are running into steering issues. So I was wondering if I could take an EPS system from a Cobalt or G5 and swap it out with the old one. I know they did a recall on them for both Cobalts and G5s, but not the G6s. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

parts are only interchangeable with the Aura and Malibu for most things.
