In February 9, there was many complaints on corolla 2009-2010 with their electric power steering. I wonder if the problem is recalled until now or it's still not? I consider buying a new corolla 2010 for my sister, but I'll not do it if the power steering is not secure on the highway.

I have a 2010 S model and haven't had one problem with it, and I DRIVE it.
If there is noticable "drift" in steering they have a TSB that installs a new module free.
Get it and don't worry about it, I doubt it will take control and drive itself off the road and home in to head on a big Oak tree. By the way, mine got 37 hwy and 33 in town new and with some miles gets 38-39 hwy and 35 city. Nice to get a car that delivers what the sticker said instead of jerked around paying big bucks for a Prius that doesn't get all that much better mileage & costs a whole heck of a lot more. Take a long, long time to recoup the difference in gas savings, if ever.
