Wrong APR.....did they fool me???

Hi.....I went to this financing company, and the amount I needed to finance after the downpayment was $6,523.10 and I said I wanted to do it in 3 years (36 months).....and they told me my monthly payments are $273.61.....and If my understanding of APR is correct, that sounds like 29.07% APR.....but they told me they gave me 17%.......and used an excuse about APR for the full amount of the loan, bla bla bla.......

Did they fool me? Should I complain?

17% in and of itself is absolutely ridiculous.

So, they did charge me 29.07% APR?
