I've got a similar problem with mine.
I see a pattern that when ever the weather is damp it starts acting up. Dies when started. But if I push the accelerator it works. So I figure there must be something wrong with the idle valve electronics (valve or sensor).
But I don't know exactly where to start diagnosing the problem.

I have had this problem for years and have yet to find the cause, it is amazing how much rain gets under my hood, even went to the point of replacing the seal at the back of the hood. Hope somebody can figure this out.

Hello everyone, let me ask you this, when the problem occurs are there any check engine lights? I have never worked on these cars so this is just a guess but it seems maybe moisture is somehow getting into the electrical connections of certain sensors. These conn. are supposed to be weatherproof, so maybe start by checking these connections for tightness and maybe applying a little dielectric grease if needed. Secondly may moisture is affecting the coil packs in some way. Hope this helps, good luck.
