"Okay, so not to long ago i purchased a 1995 ford mustang (not gt), and recently i purchased some mustang tail lights off of a friend of mine. He believes they came out of a 1994 mustang. The lights are a custom brand (anzo usa) and they fit in my car perfectly, but my concern is that because the wiring of the old tail lights is positioned differently it could not work right and i don't want to cut my wires yet. There is the same amount of wires and the same colors and patterns... but different amount of wires in running lights plug than the old ones. For example the old lights are wired like 2 wires to the reverse, 3 to the directionals, 3 to the brakes, and 2 to the running lights and the new lights are wired like, 2 to the reverse, 2 to the directional, 3 to the running, and 3 to the brakes. Will this be a problem.

All you have to do is remove the individual lights from on the replacement housing, unhook the lights from the current housing and attach them to their respective spots on the replacement housing.

There is no need to cut and splice anything. The electrical ballasts are removable and swappable between taillight housing. Just push the ballasti n, turn and pull out.
