it all deppends on how many neons he wants to use. If you are planning on using alot of neons 5 and more, you should definetly use a relay and 1 or 2 fuses. I guess you will wire the main power wire from the battery. If so, then use 2 fuses. Each should be no more than 10 amps. I dont think neons drain that much power, so you dont need to use bigger fuses. After that, you should make a distribution box, in which u will have all the wires coming to. It should look like a square box. Better yet, get a rectangular one (RadioShack if you want. If you deside on getting the box from RadioShack, ask them for project boxes, and they will show you few types) anyways, you will have to drill holes in that box so wires can go through (since you will have a cover for that box) The box will contain 2 metal pieces (do not connect both pieces with any wire or anything else), to which wires will connect. Both will look like a tree with branches. But those metal branches will be perpendicular to main parts of those pieces. To one of the metal pieces you will connect the power cable(positive) that will come from the battery or from where-ever you are getting power. To another you will connect ground cable (negative) from where-ever your grounding point is, or will be. Before the connecting the power wire make sure you connect 2 fuse holders with fuses in them into the circuit (meaning one fuse by the battery and another one by the box) once you have done that, you can connect the neons. Im guessing each neon comes with ciggarette lighter adapter. Cut all of them off with reasonable length of the wire left (so you can place the neon whereever you want without any ecsess of the neon wire) After you cut off the cigg. lighter adapter, you can splice the wires on each neon (look on each neons wires, one should have a white stripe-thats the positive, other is negative) After that you can connect those neon wires to the box. Connect positive wire of the neon to the metal piece, where you connected the power cable, AND negative wire of the neon to the metal piece where your ground cable connected) If you want to make a switch for this whole setup all you gotta do is cut into the circuit, by cutting the power and ground cables and connecting switch to them in the inline circuit. That should be it, unless you have any other ideas.
