i have bought a nice 2003 dodge SX2.0, and am new to the forums, dodge anyways.... and just would like to share with everyone how stupid chrysler-daimler can really be.... Why would they run transmission lines almost adjacent to engine coolant lines.....just boggles my mind.....lol but the jist of it is, one of those lines popped inside the rad and flooded my cooling system with transmission fluid....how nice eh? getting it to the shop, i had tranny fluid pouring out of the coolant overflow valve.....guess i should keep my eye out for a transmission in the near future.... :runaround::sarcasm1:

Space is an issue with compact cars and their engine bay.
The radiator is used to cool the transmission fluid, to keep your transmission from overheating. It is not some weird radical design and is commonly used on other makes and models.
