Boost control solenoid
GTP Version 2.0

So I changed my fuel pressure regulator this morning and ran the engine for about five minutes. I then performed one more check for loose connection, wires, etc before closing the hood. It was then that I noticed that the boost control solenoid was pretty hot for just running for 5 min. The valve covers weren't even hot, nor the supercharger, or anything close by. What does this mean?

It is not abnormal for the boost solenoid to feel hot to the touch.

OK good to know. I was afraid that my vac system was to blame. I put a ported SC from a 98+ on my 97GTP. I had to alter the vac assembly slightly. I just modded the setup to reflect a 99+ gtp.
