I didn't find any threads on this one, and it's a new one on me.
I noticed my 2000 K1500 Suburban didn't have any Reverse lights last week, both are not operational. This model uses a 3157 bulb - but the bulbs on both sides are fine. I checked the fuse in the compartment and it's fine. I also measured voltage at the connector on the left-hand side. I get voltage for brakes, turn signals/flashers. I've come to the conclusion that something isn't getting the signal to turn on the reverse lights, but I'm not sure what it is. Any ideas?

look under your truck at your transmition. on one side or the other their should be a wire that plugs in that sends the signal that your in reverse. it might have come loose or pulled out. if you have a 4x4 their should be another wire to turn on your 4x4 light.

Check connectors on the back of the tail light assembly and then check the connectors under the vehicle, you might want to put some dielectric grease on the connectors before putting them back together
