93 taurus pulsating issue.

I have a 93 taurus, all the lights pulsate. I have checked the charging system and it checks out fine with no issues. Its the wierdest thing. It acts like its an alternator issue but it isn't. All the lights including the dash lights pulsate to the rotation of the serpentine belt. Any help?

Have you checked for AC voltage from the alternator? Have you checked the battery cables at battery, alternator, and distribution panel to make sure they are clean and tight?

The cables at the alternator look ok. I didnt mess with them though. I did put a new battery in and new connections. I stripped all the wires ans everything is clean and tight at the bat.

Does this mean you have the clamp on style temporary battery terminals? If so, that could be part of your issue. That style of battery terminal is only intended to be temporary and does not prevent moisture from getting in to the cable and contributing to corrosion. You really should be using molded battery cables for your application.

I'd also still suggest checking for AC voltage on from the alternator in case you have a bad diode or regulator before it damages other parts of your electrical system.

like shorod said it sounds like a bad alt the diode is like a check valve it only lit volts flow one direction so you get that pulse

The clamps are fine. No corrosion on them at all. If its the Alt... would it still test good? I had the test done at the local advanced auto.

I suspect their tester only looks for current flow and DC voltage, it may not monitor for AC voltage.
