Gendercide

I was reading the Economist last night and I came across this article.

It is depressing. The loss of human lives and potential due to antiquated prejudices and grossly unfair cultural practices is staggering.

Paradoxically, as girls and women become more rare in these cultures discussed in the article, perhaps they will become more valued and less victimized.
