It's really hard to stuff an RB into a late 60's cuda. 383's are stuffed so much that the manifolds were extremely restrictive. A good car for a 440 is a Plymouth Satellite/RoadRunner/GTX. And if you get a car that comes with a big block it's a lot easier.

I have a 440 that was just rebuilt and is now powering my boat (actually there are 2 440's in the boat - both just rebuilt (the boat previously had 2 440's in it). They both run great. However the starboard engine (the right one) will just cut out abruptly. It always starts right up again. It only done this three times over the last 3 months. The last time I was running about 2600 RPM and the RPM's started to flucuate - that only lasted about 30 seconds and then it died. Again it started right up and then ran fine. I'd welcome any suggestions

I have a 440 in a 1970 charger and it seems ok. The A bodys are just to small for this eng.

You pay big prices for the engine parts.Chrysler engine parts are the most expensive because they are very hard to come by.
