Reality TV shows

What do you guys think of all these "reality" type tv shows....like The Bachelor or Joe Millionaire?

I personally think the entertainment industry has run out of creative ideas. To me the people on these shows can't seem to do it the old fashioned way...aka destiny/fate brings 2 people together blah blah, so instead they go thru crap like these shows. Oh and Married by America...I won't even go there. Never saw it but everyone at my office raves about these shows at the water cooler.


Now on the radio I just heard a commercial for a show called Extreme Makeover....2 "lucky" people will win a make over by plastic surgeons and maje up artists...WTF???? Why can't people look at inner beauty...or if the outside really does matter to people...work with what they have?

These shows are new to the US so they are hot, but they'll go the way of prime time game shows. They'll come and go from now on.

Personally, I find them boring and crossing the line into pure stupidity so I don't watch them.

I myself enjoy some of them such as Survivor, simply because I like rooting for this person or that person to win(give me a break, I after all DONT have a life:rolleyes: ) But there are others that I feel are completely stupid in every aspect, such as the Bachelor, or Joe Millionaire. I watched Mr. Personality the other night, and didnt think it was as stupid as I thought it was going to be. It all depends on people, the reason there are so many is because there are so many different tastes to appeal to.

Reality shows are ok, they don't bother me really. I watch the Real World, and Fraternity Life. All the other ones I just find extremely boring and repetative.

I watch Mr. Personality only because I like seeing how women react to different kinds of communication.

I watched the first Survivour then stopped watching those reality shows.They are running out of ideas.
