I just purchased a 2000 Dakota and the AC didnt work. The carlot mechanic recharged it yesterday and it worked good when I left the lot.
Today I turned it on and it was blowing cold air, warmed up, cooled down....it did this fot about 10 minutes and then started blowing warm air. I turned it off for a while and when I turned it back on it did the cool, warm, cool warm for about 3 minutes and then nothing but warm.
Is this typical of a system low on refrigerant, ie Ive got a leak somewhere? Or is there something more serious going on?
